Serie A Matchday 9: Inter and Lazio Level on 22, Fiorentina Digging Deeper, and Goals Bets That Need the Right Price

Serie A Matchday 9, 27 to 29 October 2026.

Inter and Lazio have collected 22 points apiece, four clubs remain unbeaten, and Fiorentina have somehow turned a recognisable football squad into a relegation discussion. Eight rounds have given us enough evidence to question the prices, even if they have not given anyone permission to declare the season solved.

My strongest goals angles are both teams to score in Torino–Como and Monza–Napoli, followed by over 2.5 goals in Fiorentina–Atalanta. Roma and Inter are the likeliest winners on the card, but their short prices demand more care than their league positions suggest.

Inter have the best attack, with 23 goals, and share the best goal difference with Roma at +13. Lazio have conceded the fewest, five, while Roma lead the clean-sheet count with five in eight. Milan join those three as the remaining unbeaten sides. Como, one point behind Roma and Milan, have earned a place in the conversation through their chance production as well as their results.

The gap between sixth and tenth is only three points. Juventus have 14, Torino and Cagliari 13, and Napoli 11. Below them, Atalanta have ten, Lecce nine, and Bologna and Sassuolo eight. Genoa and Monza, both on seven, have a little breathing space above Udinese, Parma and Fiorentina on four. Venezia have three. One decent midweek result can change the lower half considerably; league-table screenshots have a short shelf life down there.

Across the division, 241 goals in 80 matches give an average of 3.01. Over 2.5 goals has landed in 47 games, or 58.8%, and both teams have scored in 45, or 56.3%. Home teams have won 47.5%, away teams 35.0%, with only 17.5% drawn. Hosts average 1.58 goals against 1.44 for visitors. Home advantage exists, but the away column deserves to be read before putting a favourite in an accumulator.

Clean-sheet percentages need a clear denominator. The team file contains 36 clean sheets across 160 team appearances, a rate of 22.5%. There have been 35 matches with at least one clean sheet, including one 0–0. The league export's 45% figure corresponds to 36 divided by 80; it should not be described as the probability that an individual team keeps a clean sheet.

Which starts look sustainable

Inter's 2.45 expected goals for and 1.13 against per match produce the division's strongest xG balance. Their 23 goals exceed approximately 19.60 xG, but the underlying attack remains substantial: 23.1 shots per match and 63% average possession.

Lazio's results need a different reading. Their 16 goals have come from approximately 11.92 xG, while five conceded compare with approximately 11.12 xGA. Excellent finishing and prevention can continue, but seven wins do not remove the possibility of regression. I would resist paying an ever-shorter price simply because the winning sequence looks tidy.

Como average 2.20 xG for, behind only Inter, and 20.8 shots per match. Their 14 goals actually trail approximately 17.60 xG. Their fifth place has a firmer attacking foundation than a casual glance at the badge might suggest. Frosinone's sixth place is more precarious: 17 goals are impressive, but 2.03 xGA per game is a substantial defensive concession.

Cagliari's 13 points from six goals are the other warning. They have conceded nine against approximately 15.52 xGA. Fiorentina have suffered the reverse: nine goals from approximately 13.36 xG, and 19 conceded against approximately 13.92 xGA. That creates a plausible recovery case, although it supplies neither a date nor a guarantee. These xG totals are reconstructed from rounded per-match figures, so they are approximate.

Napoli's tenth place and Fiorentina's nineteenth are clear disappointments relative to the status of those clubs. Frosinone are the striking table surprise. I would distinguish that observation from a measured comparison with preseason forecasts: the uploads contain no preseason probability baseline.

The scoring race and the players behind it

Nikola KrstovićAtalanta625.43447
Anastasios DouvikasComo505.08588
Marcus ThuramInter Milan525.16459

Antonio Raimondo and Gustavo Varela share the lead on seven. The player export lists Varela under a shortened formal name, Gustavo Miguel Pereira De Sousa; his Monza identity and seven-goal league tally are corroborated by the current player record. Raimondo's next assignment is Lecce at home, while Varela faces Napoli.

Their output has useful support. Raimondo has 6.26 xG in 662 minutes and Varela 5.38 in 599. Malen's six goals come from 5.67 xG in 482 minutes; Krstović's six from 5.43 in 447. Douvikas has five from 5.08, and Thuram five from 5.16. Those are healthier foundations than a scoring run built entirely from low-probability shots. They still require a starting place and enough minutes to matter.

Malen, Krstović, Douvikas and Thuram are all within two goals of the leaders. Malen has Cagliari at home; Krstović travels to Fiorentina; Douvikas visits Torino; Thuram goes to Venezia, with rotation a material concern. Raimondo and Varela are also the young forwards to watch, aged 22 and 21 respectively in the export. Varela's move from Benfica to Monza has already brought an immediate scoring return.

Paulo Dybala, Andy Diouf and Juan Miranda share the assist lead on four. Dybala leads the supplied xA figures with 3.73 and has 25 key passes; Diouf has 3.33 xA and 16 key passes; Miranda 3.03 and 12. Giacomo Calò's 30 key passes and 2.70 xA deserve attention alongside his three goals and two assists for Frosinone. Mattia Zaccagni and Nuno Tavares each have three assists for Lazio. The chance-created column is zero or unavailable throughout this export, so key passes and xA are the usable measures here.

Adrien Rabiot's four goals and three assists would normally place him high on a fantasy shortlist. His fitness status changes the practical recommendation this week. Dybala's return to training is encouraging, but it does not establish that he will start or play 90 minutes.

Rome closes Tuesday's card. Image: Getty Images.

Sassuolo versus Lazio

Tuesday 27 October · 17:30 GMT / 18:30 CET · Mapei Stadium, Reggio Emilia

Form. Sassuolo's last five are W L D L L, with seven goals scored and 11 conceded. Lazio's are D W W W W, with 12 scored and four conceded. The visitors arrive from a 2–1 win over Parma and have won all four away league games, scoring eight and conceding one.

That looks persuasive until you inspect Sassuolo's venue split. Their three home games have produced two wins and a draw, including a 3–2 victory over Juventus and a 1–1 draw with Milan. All three featured goals for both sides. Their dreadful away record should not be allowed to impersonate their home record.

Shape. The anticipated 4–3–3 matchup puts Sassuolo's wide attackers against Lazio's fullbacks, with Domenico Berardi's ability to come inside an obvious problem to solve. Lazio can counter through the spaces left around Sassuolo's midfield. Sassuolo have no clean sheet in eight, but Lazio's away defensive results are considerably better than their 1.44 away xGA average.

Team news. Lazio's Andrea Pinamonti is a major doubt after illness. Sassuolo have defensive and midfield availability concerns involving Jay Idzes and Daniel Boloca, while Nicolò Rovella and Adam Marušić are Lazio fitness concerns. These are selection risks rather than a licence to assume either manager's preferred eleven.

Head to head. The recent history is balanced enough to discourage certainty: Sassuolo won the September 2025 home meeting 1–0, while Lazio won the March 2026 return 2–1.

The price. Lazio's reference price of 2.15 requires a 46.5% win probability to break even. I can see why they are favourites, but Sassuolo's home record and Lazio's xG gap make that a more complicated decision than second against fourteenth. BTTS at 1.56 is also short given Lazio's away clean-sheet record.

🟡 VALUE

Prediction: 1–1. My alternative is Sassuolo +0.5 Asian handicap, target 1.85 or better, at a small stake. That wins with a home victory or draw. It is an upset angle, not one of the higher-confidence selections.

Torino versus Como

Tuesday 27 October · 19:45 GMT / 20:45 CET · Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino

Form. Torino are L D W W W over their last five, scoring nine and conceding six. Como are W L D W W, scoring seven and conceding four. Torino's 3–2 win over Monza extended their winning run to three; Como followed a 3–1 victory at Fiorentina with a 2–0 win against Sassuolo.

Shape. The likely 3–4–2–1 against 4–2–3–1 creates the most interesting midfield contest of Tuesday. Torino's two supporting attackers can pressure Como's build-up, but that can free Nico Paz between the lines if the first press is beaten. Douvikas supplies the penalty-area target. Torino must also protect the channels behind their wingbacks when Como move the ball quickly.

Team news. Torino's Rolando Mandragora is reported unavailable. Cesc Fàbregas must assess Como's Moise Kean, and Assane Diao remains among their absences. A Kean return would expand the options, rather than automatically displace a striker with five league goals.

Head to head. Como's recent head-to-head advantage is emphatic: 5–1 in Turin and 6–0 at home last season. Those results support the stylistic concern for Torino, but attaching another five-goal margin would be an ambitious use of a history book.

Home and away. Torino's four home games have produced six goals for and seven against, with BTTS in three. Como's five away matches show ten scored, six conceded and BTTS in four. Their away xG attack averages 2.18; Torino's home xGA is 1.50. The visitors should create chances, while Torino's form and attacking routes make a home goal credible.

⚪ GOALS/BTTS

Prediction: 1–2. BTTS at the supplied 1.67 is one of my preferred singles, provided the expected attacking core starts. The break-even rate is 59.9%. Como to win at 1.75 is a secondary lean; I prefer the goals bet because it accommodates a competitive Torino performance.

Roma versus Cagliari

Tuesday 27 October · 19:45 GMT / 20:45 CET · Stadio Olimpico, Rome

Form. Roma's last five are W D D W D, nine goals for and five against. Cagliari's are W W D L L, four for and eight against. Roma's 3–3 draw at Napoli kept their unbeaten record intact, while Cagliari have followed a 4–0 loss at Monza with a 2–0 home defeat by Bologna.

Shape. Roma's expected 3–4–2–1 should give their attacking midfielders opportunities around Cagliari's projected 4–4–2. Malen's movement behind the centrebacks is the central threat. If Cagliari's wide midfielders narrow to protect those spaces, Roma can advance outside them and seek cutbacks. Daniel Maldini, responsible for four of Cagliari's six league goals, is the visitor most capable of punishing a turnover.

Home and away. Cagliari deserve credit for three wins in four away games. They have nevertheless scored only four away goals, and their latest road outing was that heavy Monza defeat. Roma's home attack averages 2.37 xG, against Cagliari's away xGA of 1.85. The home side have ten goals and ten points from four Olimpico fixtures.

Team news. Dybala has resumed full training but remains a minutes risk. Roma's Mile Svilar and Manu Koné are reported out; Cagliari's Harry Winks requires a fitness check. Losing important players should temper enthusiasm for an aggressive Roma handicap.

Head to head. Roma won the last home meeting 2–0 in February 2026 and the previous one 1–0, although Cagliari won their December 2025 home fixture 1–0.

🔵 SOLID

Prediction: 2–0. Roma at 1.35 are a likely winner priced as one. I would prefer Roma -1.0 Asian handicap at a target of 1.85 or better: a one-goal win returns the stake, while a win by two or more wins the bet. Malen is an anytime-scoring watch at 1.95 or better if he starts. Neither target is a verified available quote.

Wednesday 28 October 2026

Five fixtures, the busiest day of the round, from San Siro to the Ferraris.

Milan hosts Bologna on Wednesday. Image: Getty Images.

AC Milan versus Bologna

Wednesday 28 October · 17:30 GMT / 18:30 CET · San Siro, Milan

Form. Milan's last five are D W D W W, with 11 goals for and five against. Bologna's are L D W L W, six for and six against. Both won 2–0 away at the weekend: Milan at Udinese, Bologna at Cagliari.

Milan have won all three home games, scoring eight and conceding two. Bologna have taken six points from four away fixtures and conceded only three away goals. The visitors' thirteenth place understates the difficulty they can present in this particular setting.

Shape. Rúben Amorim's Milan are projected in a 4–4–1–1 against Bologna's 3–4–2–1. That gives Bologna's wingbacks a route to stretch Milan's wide midfielders, while Milan can target the space outside the away back three. Gonçalo Ramos' work against the central defenders and Miranda's delivery from the other end could matter more than the broad possession totals.

Team news. Milan's Rabiot remains unavailable; Gila and Diego Moreira need reassessment, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek picked up another concern at Udinese. Bologna have fitness questions around Riccardo Orsolini and Roberto Piccoli. Those problems make an early, confident attacking lineup especially hard to justify.

Head to head. Milan won the last league meeting in Bologna 3–0 in February 2026. That is useful context, but this week's available personnel matter more than reproducing the same score.

The price. Milan have scored 16 against approximately 12 xG overall. Their home xG average is 1.43, against Bologna's away xGA of 1.26. That is a slimmer underlying advantage than a 1.51 home price might suggest, particularly with injuries and the derby approaching.

⚪ GOALS/BTTS

Prediction: 2–0, with 1–1 the obvious danger. Under 3.5 goals is my preferred watch, target 1.55 or better. Milan to win becomes more interesting around 1.70, subject to the lineup; I would pass the 1.51 reference price.

Venezia versus Inter Milan

Wednesday 28 October · 17:30 GMT / 18:30 CET · Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, Venice

Form. Venezia are L L L W L over their last five, scoring four and conceding ten. Inter are W D W W W, scoring 15 and conceding seven. Sunday's late 2–1 comeback against Fiorentina kept Inter level with Lazio. Venezia followed their surprise 1–0 win over Napoli with a 1–0 defeat at Genoa.

Shape. The anticipated 3–5–2 against 3–5–2 makes the wingback contest important. Inter can pin Venezia deeper through width and midfield support, then work deliveries towards two forwards. Venezia's route is to escape that pressure quickly and attack the spaces outside Inter's central defenders. Their six league goals explain why execution, rather than a theoretical route out, has been the problem.

Team news. Inter's attacking depth does not make rotation irrelevant. Lautaro Martínez is unavailable, and the latest projection favours Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito up front. Thuram's five-goal return therefore does not automatically make him a pre-lineup scoring bet. Venezia have doubts around Andrea Adorante and Marin Šverko.

Head to head. Inter won both 2024–25 league meetings 1–0. This season's data is more open: Inter have kept only two clean sheets in eight, despite their strong 1.13 xGA average. Venezia have also scored only three times in four home matches.

🔵 SOLID

Prediction: 0–2. Inter at 1.33 require 75.2% to break even. I prefer waiting for the team before considering Inter -1.0 Asian handicap at 1.80 or better. A one-goal Inter win would push. Over 2.5 at 1.33 requires the same 75.2% success rate and has little room for a controlled 0–2, especially before the derby.

Parma versus Udinese

Wednesday 28 October · 17:30 GMT / 18:30 CET · Stadio Ennio Tardini, Parma

Form. Parma's last five are L W L L L, with four scored and 11 conceded. Udinese's are L L L L L, with four scored and 13 conceded; their full losing sequence now stretches to six league games. Both clubs have four points, no clean sheet, and a fairly persuasive reason to dislike looking at the table.

Shape. Parma's projected five-man defence faces Udinese's 3–4–2–1. The visitors can look for Jurgen Ekkelenkamp between the lines and runs around the central striker. Parma need their wingbacks to advance enough to provide an outlet without exposing the outside centrebacks. A first goal could have an unusually large effect on how much risk either team accepts.

Team news. Udinese's Oumar Solet and David Alaba are reported unavailable for the trip. Parma have concerns including Pontus Almqvist and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. Their absences reduce the case for treating this as a straightforward contest between two otherwise intact sides.

Head to head. Udinese won 2–0 on their last league visit in November 2025. Their current away record is much less comforting: one win and two defeats, with seven scored and nine conceded. Parma's four home matches have produced only three goals for and six against.

The numbers. The chance data is less barren than the finishing: Parma's home xG is 1.34 and Udinese's away xG 1.21, while Udinese allow 1.96 xGA away. That supports some prospect of goals, but it is not enough to call a winner with conviction.

⚪ GOALS/BTTS

Prediction: 1–1. My preference is no 1X2 bet. Under 3.5 at a target of 1.55 is more forgiving than forcing under 2.5 simply because the attacks have struggled. BTTS at 1.73 offers insufficient compensation for their combined finishing problems; over 2.5 at 2.20 is a speculative alternative rather than a core selection.

Monza versus Napoli

Wednesday 28 October · 19:45 GMT / 20:45 CET · U Power Stadium, Monza

Form. Monza's last five are L W L W L, with 11 scored and ten conceded. Napoli's are W D W L D, eight scored and five conceded. Monza lost 3–2 at Torino after beating Cagliari 4–0; Napoli arrive from the six-goal draw with Roma.

Napoli at 1.72 look comfortable until their away record enters the room: one win, one draw and two defeats. Monza have two wins and a defeat at home, with eight goals for and four against. Backing the visitors requires more than assuming the bigger club will sort itself out on the motorway.

Shape. Monza's likely 3–4–2–1 can put two supporting attackers near Varela, while Napoli's expected 4–3–3 should offer a midfield passing advantage if they move the ball before pressure arrives. The key is whether Napoli can keep enough protection behind their attacks to prevent Varela receiving in transition. His seven goals from 5.38 xG make that a specific threat rather than a generic warning about counterattacks.

Team news. Napoli must assess Benoît Badiashile after his injury against Roma. Monza remain without Matteo Pessina and have other availability concerns. Napoli's defensive fitness is particularly relevant to the goals markets here.

Head to head. Napoli won 1–0 on their last visit in April 2025, through Scott McTominay. Monza's current attacking output is a better guide to this week's threat than importing that clean sheet into a new season.

⚪ GOALS/BTTS

Prediction: 2–2. BTTS at 1.73 is on my shortlist, with a 57.8% break-even rate. Monza have seen BTTS in seven of eight overall, although Napoli's rate is only four of eight. Over 2.5 at 1.75 is a reasonable alternative. Choose one as the main position; backing both increases exposure to the same attacking scenario.

Genoa versus Juventus

Wednesday 28 October · 19:45 GMT / 20:45 CET · Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Genoa

Form. Genoa's last five are D L W L W, with five goals for and six against. Juventus are L W D L W, seven for and seven against. Juve's 2–0 win at Lecce followed the 3–0 home defeat by Lazio. Genoa's 1–0 victory over Venezia delivered their first clean sheet of the season.

Shape. The expected 3–5–2 matchup gives Genoa an opportunity to contest midfield and defend the width without constantly changing assignments. Juventus need their midfield runners to disrupt that symmetry and create space for the forwards. Genoa's Milutin Osmajić, with three goals and an assist, is the principal threat if the visitors leave too much space while advancing.

Team news. Juventus remain short of attacking and midfield options, with Kenan Yıldız, Francisco Conceição, Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram among the reported absences. Genoa have fitness concerns including Kingsley Ehizibue and Djibril Sow. This is a match for watching the actual teams rather than betting on familiar names who are unavailable.

Head to head. Juve won last season's meetings 1–0 in Genoa and 2–0 in Turin. The supplied underlying figures support another away advantage: Juventus' away attack averages 2.02 xG, while Genoa concede 2.02 xGA at home. Juve's overall xGA of 0.97 is the best in the division.

Home and away. Genoa have taken all seven points at home, so the venue should receive some respect. Equally, they have conceded eight across those five home games and their latest win came against the bottom club.

🔵 SOLID

Prediction: 0–2. Juventus to win is the lean, but I would want 1.75 or better against the supplied 1.66. BTTS No at 1.83 is another possibility if the defensive lineup is strong. I prefer that route to a large European handicap, which offers no protection for a narrow win.

Thursday 29 October 2026

Two fixtures close the round, one in Frosinone and one in Florence.

Embed from Getty Images
Florence hosts Thursday's late kick-off. Image: Getty Images.

Frosinone versus Lecce

Thursday 29 October · 17:30 GMT / 18:30 CET · Stadio Benito Stirpe, Frosinone

Form. Frosinone's last five are D W L W D, with 11 goals for and ten against. Lecce's are W L L W L, seven for and nine against. Frosinone's 4–4 draw at Atalanta followed the 4–2 win over Sassuolo. Anyone who watched both has already consumed a sensible month's allocation of defensive anxiety.

Shape. The likely 4–2–3–1 against 4–3–3 puts Calò's distribution and the supporting attackers around Raimondo at the centre of the match. Lecce must protect the space between their fullbacks and centrebacks, then make their own wide outlets available before Frosinone's pressure arrives.

Team news. Lecce's Kialonda Gaspar is listed suspended after his dismissal at the end of the Juventus defeat, and Lassana Coulibaly is injured. Frosinone's Florian Grillitsch remains a fitness concern. Gaspar's absence matters against a home attack with nine goals in four matches.

Head to head. The March 2024 meeting at this ground finished 1–1. The more immediate restraint on a goals bet is Lecce's current away record: two wins and two defeats, five scored and four conceded, with no away BTTS result in four.

Home and away. Frosinone have won three of four at home, including a 2–0 win over Como. Their home xGA of 1.94 is the reason to remain cautious about attaching a clean sheet to the home victory. Recent eight-goal entertainment should not become an automatic forecast for the next match.

🔵 SOLID

Prediction: 2–0. Frosinone are the side I prefer, but 1.57 is shorter than I want; target 1.70 or better. Over 2.5 at 1.44 and BTTS at 1.50 both look demanding against Lecce's away evidence. Under 3.5 is worth reviewing at 1.80 or better, as an alternative to the home win rather than an additional position.

Fiorentina versus Atalanta

Thursday 29 October · 19:45 GMT / 20:45 CET · Stadio Artemio Franchi, Florence

Form. Fiorentina's last five are W D L L L, with eight scored and ten conceded. Atalanta's are L L W L D, ten scored and 12 conceded. Fiorentina have scored in six consecutive league matches despite winning only once in that sequence. Atalanta have lost all three away games, conceding seven.

Shape. Fiorentina's anticipated 4–3–2–1 can bring Franco Mastantuono into the spaces around Atalanta's holding midfielders. Against the visitors' projected 4–2–3–1, the risk at the other end is that pressing too aggressively frees Charles De Ketelaere to supply Krstović. The latter has six goals and two assists, and scored twice in the 4–4 against Frosinone.

Team news. Atalanta coach Maurizio Sarri lost Raoul Bellanova to a fresh problem on Sunday, leaving an already stretched defence with limited options; Giorgio Scalvini's possible return needs checking. Fiorentina have fitness doubts around Marin Pongračić and Luca Ranieri. Those concerns strengthen the attacking angle without establishing the final lineups.

Head to head. The last meeting in Florence finished 1–1 in May 2026. Current form points towards a more open contest: seven of Fiorentina's eight games and six of Atalanta's eight have gone over 2.5. Fiorentina have no clean sheet, Atalanta one.

The price. Fiorentina's home xG average of 1.93 against Atalanta's away xGA of 2.33 gives the hosts a route to improve on their miserable three home goals. However, backing Fiorentina at 2.21 would require forgiving a winless home record and treating their finishing recovery as immediate.

⚪ GOALS/BTTS

Prediction: 2–1, with 2–2 a serious alternative. Over 2.5 at 1.58 is my preferred market. The break-even rate is 63.3%; the early-season goal frequencies support considering it, although eight matches are a small sample. Over 3.5 at 2.56 is a smaller-stake option. BTTS at 1.47 is too compressed for my main position.

The core singles are Torino–Como BTTS, Monza–Napoli BTTS and Fiorentina–Atalanta over 2.5. Each remains conditional on the actual price and attacking selections. My highest-confidence result picks are Roma and Inter, but a likely winner and a value bet answer different questions. There are no guaranteed “bankers”.

Combinations, if you want them

Approximate combined returns at the snapshot prices
CombinationLegsApprox. return
Short result doubleRoma 1.35 + Inter 1.331.80
BTTS doubleTorino–Como 1.67 + Monza–Napoli 1.732.89
Goals doubleMonza–Napoli over 2.5 1.75 + Fiorentina–Atalanta over 2.5 1.582.77
Three core selectionsTorino–Como BTTS 1.67 + Monza–Napoli BTTS 1.73 + Fiorentina–Atalanta over 2.5 1.584.56

The Roma and Inter double is a probability-oriented combination with rotation and injury exposure, not an assertion of positive expected value. I would keep the stake modest. The three-selection combination carries the greatest failure risk. These returns assume all snapshot prices are available together; they are not verified executable offers. Do not use all these multiples as separate full-stake bets because several repeat the same selections.

The main upset watches are Sassuolo at home to Lazio and Monza against Napoli. Fiorentina–Atalanta is my clearest goals fixture. Milan–Bologna and Parma–Udinese offer the better lower-total watch, subject to finding the stated prices. Correct-score forecasts describe the expected match shape; without verified quotes, they are not recommended wagers.

Corners, cards and the details worth keeping

League corners per match
9.53
League cards per match
3.34
Juventus corners per game
7.50
Como corners per game
7.13
Torino corners per game
3.25

Juventus generate 7.50 corners per game and Como 7.13, compared with Torino's 3.25. That makes away-team corner handicaps in Genoa–Juventus and Torino–Como markets worth checking, particularly if the visitors are selected to dominate possession. These are team corners won, not total match corners. Without a line, price and opponent-adjusted estimate, I would not turn the ranking into a bet.

Genoa and Venezia each average 2.50 team cards, above Roma's 2.38 and the league average per team of about 1.67. Referee appointments and the actual card line still matter. Past yellow and red totals do not establish a current suspension: cards can have been served, rescinded or accumulated under different thresholds. Gaspar's reported current suspension is the actionable information here.

The player export includes tackling and interception fields, but using selected raw totals without consistent minutes and role context would add little to these bets. The sharper defensive comparison is Juventus' 0.97 xGA per match against Atalanta and Frosinone at 2.03. Goalkeeping and finishing variance help explain why table positions can look very different from that ordering.

Miranda's delivery and Calò's chance supply are useful set-piece and creation indicators. However, the files do not separate shots or goals by corner and free-kick origin, so no set-piece conversion percentage can be calculated reliably. The penalty goals and misses columns are also zero across the player export. That is insufficient to establish penalty hierarchies. Inter's late winner on Sunday came from a Zieliński penalty, but one observed taker does not settle every selection scenario.

Fantasy choices and the longer view

Fantasy choices

For a game that covers this round, Malen is my first captain candidate if confirmed to start; Raimondo is the alternative. Douvikas offers attacking upside, with Varela a more adventurous pick against Napoli's uncertain defence. Calò is worth reviewing where the scoring system rewards chance creation and midfield contributions. No ownership or game-price data was supplied, so “differential” and “budget” status cannot be claimed.

I would avoid transferring in Rabiot or Lautaro for an immediate return, and I would wait on Dybala's minutes. Inter's starting forwards need checking because the derby follows on 31 October. Buying a familiar surname and discovering it belongs to the substitutes' bench is an expensive form of nostalgia.

The longer view

For the title, Inter have the strongest combination of points and underlying performance. Lazio remain serious contenders, but their finishing and prevention margins make an increasingly short outright price harder to accept. Malen's shot-quality record makes him interesting in the scoring race, while Raimondo and Varela already have the goals on the board. At the bottom, Venezia's seven defeats and Udinese's six-match losing run demand attention, but eight rounds are too early to price relegation from the table alone.

The practical approach this week is selective: use the venue splits, wait for the lineups and insist on the price. Three supported singles make a more coherent card than an accumulator containing every famous club in Italy. Keep total exposure within a fixed amount you can afford to lose, especially where the same selection appears in more than one bet.
